Nancy Garrison has been a resident of Marco Island since 1981. Originally from Steubenville, Ohio she has welcomed the Florida sunshine and the numerous opportunities to photograph the gifts of the sea, flora, & birds throughout the state and especially Marco.
Traveling in a motorhome with her husband throughout the US provides an opportunity to photograph many diverse landscapes, lifestyles, and wildlife. It’s a wild & wonderful world out there!
Photography submissions to the City of Marco Island, Marco Island Center for the Arts, DPI-SIG Camera Club, Florida Camera Club Council,and Rookery Bay Wildlife Exhibit have brought her several awards.
Her photographs have been featured in The Marco Island Eagle, Marco Magazine, DPI-SIG Magazine, and Airboating Magazine. Exhibits include: Collier County Library - downtown, UUChurch in Naples, Shangri-La Springs, Marco Island Library, Rookery Bay and The Marco Island Historical Society.
As an active member in DPI-SIG Naples Digital Photography Club she has been co-chair of the Competition Committee, F3C Conference photo competition director, and Women's Workshop presenter of iPhonography Tips & Tricks.
"Photography is my obsession. I have learned to look at light and form with new eyes, and I'm always "on the hunt" for prospective subjects. Time spent at the computer finalizing the latest photo shoot and making the image complete helps to feed my creative soul."
